Hello, I’m Simon
For more than 20 years I’ve been helping businesses understand and make better use of digital technology.
What began as a fascination with the early web has evolved into a long-standing career working with businesses of all sizes, designing websites, developing online solutions and helping organisations navigate an increasingly digital world.
Today, I focus on helping owner-managed businesses build websites that support their goals and create new opportunities online.

I offer businesses more than simply web design. For many of my clients I am a digital partner, helping them with branding, digital marketing and identifying opportunities. This frees up the time for them to focus on what they’re good at – running and growing their businesses.
I have been involved in the computer industry since the mid 90s. I started Generation X Digital in 2003, so I’ve been a small business owner myself for over 20 years and understand the challenges. I have been Technology Partner to creative agency Heading for the Coast since 2015, working on projects large and small. These include a number of projects for Food & Drink Wales.
I have also built a number of successful tech, creative and ecommerce businesses.
I returned to my roots in rural Powys in 2020, and have focused on developing the skills essential to helping advise and support Welsh business owners and start-ups across Mid Wales.
Since then I’ve worked as a Business Advisor in the Startup & Entrepreneurship division of Business Wales and Mid Wales Membership Advisor with the Federation of Small Businesses. In these roles I’ve helped literally hundreds of start-up entrepreneurs and business owners to launch and grow their businesses.
I apply the same skills to take a strategic view of your business and create a joined-up digital marketing strategy that works for you and your business.

Beyond my desk
I’m happily married with three daughters. Our family also comprises Alfie our English Setter, Agatha the cat, a rabbit and three hens.
In 2019 I walked Offa’s Dyke Path from North To South which reawakened my love for Mid Wales. In 2020 we moved to Llanerfyl in Powys to undertake a hands-on renovation of our forever home. Progress is slow, but satisfying.
Walking remains a major pastime. I’m doing the Across Wales Walk in September and am slowly exploring Glyndwr’s Way in manageable sections.
I also enjoy running, having completed several marathons and a couple of triathlons. I’m running my 10th Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon in September.
I’ve always been fascinated by how businesses start, grow and adapt. That’s one of the reasons I enjoyed my work with Business Wales and why I continue to work with business owners through the FSB.
